Immunology - information on mini-tests

22nd October 2020

Dear students,

Please note that, starting from this week (Friday, October 23rd, 2020), a mini-test will be held between the seminars of the two groups. It will start at 15:40 and close at 15:50 and all students (from both groups) should do them in order to get activity points (you may find more information on mini-tests and activity points below and on the Immunology section of the Faculty web site). Once you finish the test, you will get a review of your mini-test results with correct answers.

In order to attend the mini-test, you should log on to the online study platform few minutes before the designated time (i.e. 15:40) and click on the link for the mini-test, which you will find in the corresponding week (you will not be able to access the mini-test before 15:40). If you are not able to access the mini-test due to some technical reason (other than problems with the UBFM online platform), you will not able to redo the mini-test, so please pay attention to be in the place where the internet connection is good and stable. In case of the technical problems of the UBFM online platform that affect all students (or most of them), we will repeat the mini-test.

Points for mini-tests (i.e. Activity points) are obtained for successfully passing the mini-tests that are held every week between the seminars. Mini-tests are designed as questions with multiple choice answers (MCQs) with one correct answer out of four. Each mini-test will consist of 10 MCQs that will cover everything that has been done (both on seminars and lectures) in the previous week (e.g. on the mini-test in Week 3, the questions will refer to the material from Week 2). In order to pass the mini-test, a student should give correct answers to at least 50% of the questions + 1 question (i.e. 6 correct answers out of 10 possible). Each successfully done mini-test (i.e. 6 and more correct answers out of 10 possible) brings one point to a student. There will not be any negative points in case you do not pass the mini-test. The maximum number of points that can be collected in this way is 10, and the total number of mini-tests is 12 (so that the students may compensate for two mini-tests missed due to illness or for any other reasons). The mini-tests are done every week beginning from Week 3 with the exception for the Week 10 (the mini-test on Week 11 will cover material from both Week 9 and Week 10, i.e. all immunological methods).

If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,
