Dear students,

During this IX semester, 19 students have assigned for elective surgery course "Initial treatment of severe trauma".  I thank you for your interest in surgery and through this course we will give you the opportunity to upgrade your surgical education. In order to organize practical classes, I will divide students into three subgroups of 6-7. Every group will have a clinical assistant in charge. Subgroups, assistants and their contact numbers or mail will be posted on this site soon. Practical classes will be held during assistant's oncall duty hours (outside regular working hours), in order to avoid overlapping with your regular everyday classes and also this conception will give you the possibility for closer practical education. Students will have to attend three practical sessions with their assistants. It will be on students to establish contacts with assistants and make further steps (I suggest every subgroup elect one representative for contact with assistant). Practicals should be accomplished till the end of January. 

For theoretical part, Prof Krstina Doklestić and me will hold you 2 lectures, one after another (for the whole group of 19 students). In consultation with your representatives, we fixed the date for Tuesday, 16th December starting from 14h (I know you have nuclear medicine till 14h on Tuesdays) in the conference room at the New urgent centre, 3rd floor (New building of CCS).
