Organization of classes from the fifth (winter) semester

In the following two weeks (June 16th-27th, 2025), remaining classes of the fifth (winter) semester that were suspended will be organised in an online form.
The learning materials can be found on the online platform of our course: https://studiesinenglish.med.
Most of the materials will be available immediately starting Monday, June 16th, while some will be available later, so please make sure to check the online platform regularly.
The list below gives you a detailed overview of the course material for the upcoming two weeks that covers the remainder of lectures, seminars, and labs of the fifth semester:
1. Lectures will be available as a presentations (PDF files) and as an audio presentations
· LEC 12: Disorders of the heart’s impulse formation and conduction
Arterial hypertension and hypotension
· LEC 13: Obstructive pulmonary disease
Restrictive pulmonary syndrome
Alterations in pulmonary circulation
Alterations in control of ventilation
Respiratory arrhythmia
2. Seminars will be available as a presentations (PDF files) and, later, as audio presentations
· SEM 12: Molecular mechanisms of shock
· SEM 13: Heart failure and evaluation of cardiovascular system functions
· SEM 14: Pathophysiology of cardiac arrhythmias
3. Labs will be available as a preparatory material, lessons, presentations (PDF files), and, later, asaudio presentations (BigBlueButton system)
· LAB 12: Acid-base imbalances
· LAB 13: Pathological ECG
· LAB 14: Pathophysiology of shock
Further information regarding the calendar and format of classes in the sixth (summer) semester, as well as information regarding colloquia, pre-exam points, and elective courses, will be provided later in a timely manner.
