GENERAL INFO ABOUT THE  EPIDEMIOLOGY COURSE IN THE ACADEMIC 2024/2025

 

 

  • In the 5th semester, classes in Epidemiology will be held on Fridays from 9.45 am to 12 pm. In the 6th semester, classes will be held on Wednesday in the afternoon, you will be informed about the exact timetable.

 

  • Classes are held on-site in the classrooms of the Institute of Epidemiology, Višegradska 26A. The classrooms are situated at the level -1, under the classrooms of the Institute of Human Genetics.

 

  • Lectures are not mandatory, but strongly encouraged to optimize comprehension of the materials. Lecture attendance will be assigned up to max. 3 points (see grading policy)

 

  • Practical sessions and seminars are mandatory. You are allowed ONE absence per semester (i.e one full day regardless of how many classes are held on that day). All additional absences need to be made-up at the end of that semester. The first make-up practical session is free of charge. All additional make-up classes are charged out of pocket according to the rate 6,000 RSD per 1 hour.

 

  • Presence of students in lectures, practical sessions and seminars will be monitored and registered in students' records.

 

  • Seminars are prepared and presented as in-person Power Point presentation in front of the class from the Workbook of practical sessions and are graded (max. 6 points)
  • There will be 1 colloquium in Epidemiology at the beginning of the 6th semester 
  • You are requested to bring a personal passport-size photo for your record of attendance. Without the photo it will not be possible to receive the end-of-semester signature
  • Be aware of the dress code
