Dear students,
We would like to remind you that the attendance is compulsory for seminars. During the semester, you were entitled to two absences without obligation to compensate (to do the make-ups) and if you have missed more than two seminars during the course you will have to compensate for all missing seminars (more than two allowed) in written form (please find the instructions for writing of make-up essays below). According to Article 30 of the Rulebook, in case when you miss more than 30% of practical lessons (seminars in case of Immunology course), i.e. five seminars, you are not eligible to get a final signature at the end of semester and you will have to repeat the whole year. As for the number of absences, please take also into consideration your presence/absence on the seminar that is going to be held on Friday, January 14th, 2021.
We have checked all attendance lists and registered your presence on all seminars that have been held so far (the presence is automatically registered as you access the seminar). You may find the table with the evidence of your attendances of the seminars in the separate announcement, so please check it. Seminars are noted according to weeks of the course. For the topics of the seminars that you have missed, you can refer to Immunology section of the Faculty web site under “Curriculum” subsection.
Students who have missed more than two allowed seminars have to do the make-ups in the following way:
- they should write an essay for each missed seminar containing not less than 1000 words (approx. 2-3 pages, word document, font 11 or 12) using Word or similar text processor
- they can choose the seminar(s) (out of those missed)
- they should cover all topics from the chosen seminar using the textbook or supplementary material available at the website
- the text should be original, not copied and pasted (we have plagiarism checker)
- the essay(s) should be named with the name of a student and a week to which the essay(s) correspond(s), i.e. each essay should be written as a separate text/document
- the essay(s) should be sent to imunologija@med.bg.ac.rs, as soon as possible, and not later than Wednesday, January 19th, 2021.
We will review your make-up essay(s) and inform you by replying to your e-mail, whether it/they has/have been well written and whether you are eligible for the signature.
Please note that if you do not write your make-ups correctly or you send them after the deadline you will not be eligible for the signature and consequently you will not be allowed to attend the exam on January 27th, 2021.
Best regards,
Department of Immunology
