Dear colleagues,

As you may already know the X semester make-up classes begin on Monday, 30th June.

You will continue with the course of Surgery, in this semester practicals will be held three times a week (Monday, Tuesday and Friday), from 11.00 a.m. (in order not to interfere with classes in Serbian which start from 8.a.m.).

Theoretical lectures will be in online format only, and available at the Online Platform in recorded form with narration. Practical classes will be held as usual, according to the timetable that will be placed on this site.

The first five practical classes in orthopedics will be held at the CCS. Professor in charge is Prof. Goran Tulić. Meeting point for these practicals is the amphitheatre of the Old orhtopedic clinic, Monday 30^th June at 11.00h.

Afterwards Orthopedics practicals will continue at the Orthopedic clinic Banjica. Professor in charge there is Prof. Zoran Baščarević but you can also look for Assoc Prof. Duško Spasovski.

Pediatric surgery practicals will be held at Children’s university hospital (“Tiršova”), professor in charge is Prof. Sanja Sinđić-Antunović, and the Institute for mother and child “dr Vukan Čupić”. The lecturer in charge there is Prof. Mila Stajević.

Neurosurgery will be held at the Neurosurgical clinic of CCS, lecturer in charge is Prof. Vladimir Baščarević.

You will also have two days of Surgical oncology; one at the Institute for oncology and radiology, Pasterova 14 – Prof Ivan Marković, and the second at the CC Bežanijska Kosa – Prof Dejan Nikolić.

Endocrine Surgery (two days) will be held in the new building of CCS, 10^th floor. Professor in charge is Prof. Vladan Živaljević.

Urology will be held at the old Urology clinic (Resavska 51) Professor in charge is Assoc. prof. Ivan Vuković.

The decision regarding first colloquium is that it is not to be held and all students will get maximum points for it (10 pts).

It is also recommended that for the activity during semester all students should be rewarded with maximum points (10 pts) because of the actual extraordinary situation. That does not mean that you should not attend the practical classes, please have in mind that teaching staff will make every effort to organize practicals for you during this summer period!. If the attendance of practicals appears to be poor, this policy could be changed!

When I get relevant information, I will also organize the second colloquium (abdominal, vascular and cardiac surgery) in coordination with your representatives, during the semester. However, it is not confirmed yet that second colloquium is going to happen because of the current student’s requests and negotiations with the school administration. The maximum number of points for the second colloquium is also 10.

Finally, according to the general plan, the first final test in Surgery will happen in the middle of September (June term, from 15-19^th September). Maximum number of points for the test is 70. The final grade will be calculated by adding the points from the colloquiums, activity and the Test, meaning that maximum No of points is 100.
